The Wii Remote contains motion-sensing technology. It contains a speaker, the rumble feature, and external extension connector. This remote is what allows you to play games where the player simulates an activity like swinging a tennis racket, or swinging the golf club.
The Wii Nunchuk is similar to the Wii Remote in that it also contains motion-sensing technology, but it also includes 2 buttons and a control stick which allows you to move characters around while simulating an activity. The Nunchuk plugs into the Remote.
The Sensor Bar is what detects your movements and then passes them on to the game you are playing. It detects the signals up to 30 feet away.
The Wii connects to the Internet wirelessly via your router and USB connector on the Wii. It will also connect wired with a special Lan Adapter. This allows you to do downloads or even surf the Internet from your sofa. This connection will also allow your Nintendo DS to connect to your Wii.
Using an SD Memory Card allows you to download games, pictures or MP3's to your card and use them in your Wii.
You can even stay fit with the WiiFit, which contains a wireless balance board and software.
You can buy a Wii bundle that includes additional games, and controllers so you can play multiple players. Do your research on eBay before purchasing; check the feedback of the seller and compare bundles.
